There is a virus that has been around for billions of years.
In women, the affect starts from the eyes and moves downwards. In men, it
starts from somewhere in between and moves back and forth. The women feel the
palpitations within seconds. Men, however, are typically confused if they are actually
suffering from this disease or not. We call it the BS symptom.
Usually, this infection hits one person and rings the bell
in another. Mostly it happens to two at a time. You’ll die alone if it happens
to you and never rings a bell to anyone who is in the vicinity. Or, in the case
of an online virus, in a studio across the Pacific.
In the times of yore, young men and women wrote poetry to
express this infection. They looked into the eyes and knew if the other person
was actually the second infected one. They then moved to writing letters,
meeting secretively and embracing each other whenever possible. After that we
saw bees on flowers and so, have no evidence of what happened next.
Times changed, and the infected started showing more signs. They
could not live without hearing each other’s voice, look at each other and be
around each other. They shared their dreams and emotions. From embracing they
moved to little pecks on the cheeks and lips to what they use to call, love
making. It was sweet. The basic symptom remained the same – palpitations in the
heart.
Today the virus has been acting weird. One infected person
is able to see multiple infected people. In its attempt to choose the best
partner, it moves from one virus to another. Each infected person is different
and lures the other in its own unique and charming way. Since so many options
are easily available, it’s hard for the infected person to choose and remain
committed to one. We call it the MF symptom.
All the people who show signs of the MF symptom are also affected by the BS one. They need to clear their head, breathe and realise what they
are doing to the people around them. The virus that has infected them is the
best in the world. It was developed to create peace and harmony. It came into
existence so that the most vital organ in the human body – the heart – can function
to its best capability. God intended to spread happiness. Not hurt and anger.
The people who get infected through MF’s should not
lose hope. They will come around. Not to you necessarily. But they will realise
that multiple choice is not always the best way to live life. Stalking and following
them like the Vodafone puppy will not help your cause. Nor will any resentment.
Forget, forgive, and move on. And for heaven’s sake, you didn’t pass the
symptom to them. So, take a chill pill and keep your ears open for the next
infected person who comes in your vicinity. You will hear bells, trust me, you
will.
If you’re still stuck with the MF, God save you. Get a life!
And while we are at it, Happy Valentines Week. If this post is
relevant to you today, you probably hate this day. Read here for further advice!

I am still in that phase when I think I am infected then later on I realise I was not. And then it happens again. .
ReplyDeleteOk, that's the BS symptom talking. I'd say - Just do it :)
DeleteI dont have anythign against the people who are having the MF symptoms... as long as they are honest and not having a BS symptom alongside !
ReplyDeleteregardless... Its valentines and so may mush prevail ! :D
I totally agree. The MF symptom makes this disease interesting for all of us. But some people play spoilt sport by bringing in dishonesty, deception and all the ugly things that dont go with it.
DeleteAnd as I said, MF doesn't last forever. I guess it has something to do with age and maturity. Research is still on ;)
did blogger eat my comment !?
ReplyDeleteBadly infected :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a blessing :)
DeleteMF is a part of our evolution. It is moving from simplicity to complexity and losing the plot in-between. Sadly.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to put it. This virus should have been the cure for all the complexities in life. Instead, a deceiving MF has made it a game in which you probably lose more than you gain.
DeleteMF is very complex, I guess. Was lucky though to be between BS and MF symptoms ;-)
ReplyDeleteIn your case I'd say - All is well that ends well!
Deletei loved those letters :D. even after spending almost the entire day together, me and my girlfriend used to write letters to each other :D. reading those letters were awesome fun!
ReplyDeletea supercool post! absolutely loved it!
